AAK Runcorn

AAK Runcorn is the home to AAK Foods, a major manufacturer and supplier of sauces, condiments and dressings to the retail and foodservice sectors. Our private label work has won awards for taste and quality, and our products can be found on the shelves of stores throughout the world.
From our site on Davy Road, to the east of the town centre, we work with customers to co-develop new recipes for grocery private label products, retail restaurants, quick service restaurants, foodservice and food ingredients.

About the role

AAK are seeking to appoint a Quality Auditor to join the Technical team, working a Monday – Friday, (6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 10pm -6am), to ensure that quality is maintained throughout production.
Responsibilities

  • Conducting Line Checks on Critical Control Points to ensure accurate production and packing of products.
  • Conducting regular GMP audits to ensure compliance across all lines.
  • Product taste testing and lab testing of Raw Materials and Finished Products.
  • Supporting the Quality Systems Manager with project work.
  • Performing hygiene checks to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Producing reports on all testing and audits conducted.


About you

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role (FMCG experience advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Food hygiene/HACCP qualification advantageous.
  • Able to work well within a team and on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to find areas for improvement.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Able to make and communicate decisions.

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, Rotating 3 Shift pattern (6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 10pm – 6am)
Salary: starts from £24, 326 (equal to £12 per hour) + bonus scheme
